Welcome to the Long Beach Rotary's 2010-2011 year!

Since our founding nearly 100 years ago, the Rotary Club of Long Beach has been dedicated to doing good in our community and in the world. With over 325 members, we are one of the largest of the almost 33,000 Rotary clubs comprised of 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide. Our members include some of the area’s most prominent business, professional and civic leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. We meet every Wednesday (12 noon – 1:30 p.m.) aboard the historic Queen Mary and you can learn more about membership [ here ].

Through our Scholarship [ more ] and Charitable [ more ] foundations, our club contributes over $300,000 each year to create educational opportunities for youth, provide aid to the underprivileged and improve recreational facilities and activities in our community [ more ]. This year we are embarking on a campaign to raise $100,000 to name and equip the computer room in the new Long Beach Ronald McDonald House [ more ] or come to our meeting focused on this project [ here ].

July 15 – Thursday – Rotary Night at the LB Playhouse to see the hilarious No Sex Please, We’re British farce comedy. Reserve your space and help us fill up the theater.

July 31 – Stop Polio Now, Angels vs Texas Rangers fund raising game at 6 pm. 3pm Chili Cook Off - reserve your space.

August 15 – Rotary Polo Day at the Santa Barbara Polo Club – Make your own hotel reservations in advance and reserve your space online.
