What is a Podcast?
Podcasts allow users to subscribe to a feed of new files (usually MP3s). Podcasting is an easy way to automatically download audio programs to your MP3 player through your computer. What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a list of headlines and web links published as an XML file which can be read by desktop news reader programs, or used to include content on your own web site if your site or blog has the capability to use RSS. By using an RSS reader to subscribe to an RSS feed, you will receive the latest news, links, and information from the Long Beach Rotary web site. This includes monthly classes of Rotary 101.
Many RSS readers (also called aggregators) are available, often for free. You can find extensive lists of desktop and web-based RSS readers at Google Directory's index of RSS Newsreaders and allRSS.com.
