Commitment to serving the community is the Rotary Club of Long Beach’s greatest accomplishment. The Long Beach Rotary Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation that supports community efforts to improve the quality of life of our great city through project grants. All applicants must be a 501(c)3 organization. We offer two funding categories:
Grant Program
FY 2026-27 Community Grants deadline: TBA in Fall 2026
Community Grants are designed to support programs that enrich and improve the quality of life for youth in Long Beach. Grants range from $1,000 to $5,000.
The Long Beach Rotary Charitable Foundation will be accepting applications for its 2026-2027 Community Grant Program in Fall 2026!

Literacy Grants FY 2025-2026 - Current Cycle Closed
Literacy grants fund local literacy projects run by libraries, childcare centers, nonprofits and other organizations. These grants are funded by Rotarians as part of our Reading by 9 program. Literacy grants range from $1,000 to $2,500 and are evaluated on creativity, uniqueness and emphasis on preparing students to be ready to read at grade level by age 9.

The Long Beach Rotary Charitable Foundation is administered by a Board of Directors comprised of Rotarians, including the Rotary Club of Long Beach President, President-Elect and immediate Past-President. The members of the Board welcome the opportunity to discuss the purpose of the Long Beach Rotary Charitable Foundation, possible gifts and bequests, youth and education programs and organizations in the Long Beach community that may be considered for grants.
